Mr. Kevin Balaban has been named as the new Director of Sales for REMA Corrosion Control, Inc. (RCC), headquartered here. He will lead the sales effort in North, Central and South America presenting the wide range of coatings brands and services from RCC, and recruiting and building a strong team of sales professional across the Americas.
According to Mr. Charlie Altizer, Vice President - Corrosion & Wear Protection, “Kevin has a long history in the coatings industry and carries a wealth of related knowledge. His previous background as a global industrial coatings sales manager and other sales roles in his career will be valuable in bringing new coatings solutions to our customers using RCC’s many versatile and proven offerings.”
Prior to joining RCC, Mr. Balaban was the Global Industrial Sales & Marketing Manager for Advanced Polymer Coatings, in Avon, Ohio, USA, selling high performance coatings for the chemical processing, petroleum, refining, and power generation markets, and managing a global sales force of internal sales representatives and manufacturer representatives. He focused his organization to provide value-added coating solutions to a wide variety of key industrial markets.
Mr. Balaban has held key senior management roles with leading global organizations in the industrial coatings arena. His broad based background encompasses facilities management, logistics, product development, marketing and business development.
Mr. Balaban received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from John Carroll University, University Heights, Ohio. He has been involved for many years in a number of professional associations including: SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers); Cleveland Coatings Association; National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE); Houston Coatings Association; International Liquid Terminals Association (ILTA); National Institute for Storage Tank Management (NISTM); National Tank Truck Carriers (NTTC); Railway Supply Institute (RSI and The North American Rail Shippers Association (NARS) and four of its regional associations.
