Atlanta Hosts Greenbuild 2019 Conference, Expo

This year’s version of the annual Greenbuild International Conference and Expo opens Tuesday, November 19, and continues through Friday, November 22, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Greenbuild is the world’s largest conference and expo for green building professionals worldwide, with a mission statement of helping attendees learn and source cutting-edge solutions to improve resilience, sustainability, and quality of life across buildings, cities, and communities.

Greenbuild Education Tracks

The conference features more than 200 education sessions, tours, workshops, summits, and expo hall educational activities across 13 education tracks. These tracks include the subject areas of building performance; building the business case; data, AI [artificial intelligence], and smart systems for sustainability; U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) people, projects, and performance; and more.

Overall, 82 percent of content within the education program is brand new information that has not been previously presented, according to event organizers.

The keynote address on Wednesday morning, from 8:30 until 10:00 a.m. in Hall B1, features a conversation with former U.S. President Barack Obama. Other marquee events include a Leadership Awards Ceremony for the green building industry, as well as a special Women in Green Power Luncheon.

The complete schedule of events can be obtained at the Greenbuild website.
