CPS Students Invited to Apply for Chicago Builds Construction Training Program

Attention parents with high school students enrolled in Chicago Public Schools (CPS):

The Department of Buildings is pleased to share the following information about a unique construction training program available for CPS students. 
 
Chicago Builds is a two-year off-campus construction training program for 11th and 12th grade CPS students interested in pursuing a profitable career in construction.
 
The application period for next year's Chicago Builds citywide construction training program has been extended. Applications are now due by Wednesday, June 12, 2019 and can be found at www.ChicagoBuilds.org.
 
Students who participate in Chicago Builds will receive training in Carpentry, Electricity, Heating and Cooling (HVAC), Welding, and General Construction. Students will also have opportunities to earn certifications, participate in paid work-experiences, earn high school credit, and more!
