Induron Launches New Epoxy for Potable Water

Induron Protective Coatings, an industrial pioneer of ceramic epoxy coatings for high-performance systems and potable water immersion, announced the launch of its newest National Science Foundation (NSF) Standard 61-approved epoxy for potable water, AquaClean.

“At Induron, we work hard to stay competitive and ahead of the curve when evolving new products, and we are excited about our newest creation, AquaClean,” said Davies Hood, president of Induron Protective Coatings.

“We worked long and hard with our chemists and embarked on trial application sessions and numerous time-consuming performance tests, but we achieved great results and can now bring it to market,” Hood added.

The product can be used by professional painters and specifiers.

Technology of a Polyamidoamine Epoxy

The product brings a product to applicators with the technology of a polyamidoamine epoxy called Perma-Clean II Epoxy.

The user-friendly nature of AquaClean, combined with its proven performance, aesthetically pleasing appearance, and now its ability to be used in potable immersion service, make it an ideal choice for painters.

Available in Most U.S. Markets

AquaClean is formulated to be compliant with the Ozone Transport Commission (OTC) standard for low volatile organic compound (VOC) content, thus allowing Induron to sell AquaClean in most U.S. markets.

As a long-term performer in the water tank market, according to Induron, AquaClean represents its next step forward.

“It blends the latest performance technology with an easy-to-apply, good-looking finish — an effective combination for the market,” the company said.
