Induron Unveils New Epoxy Siloxane Finish Coat

Induron Protective Coatings, a provider of ceramic epoxy coatings for high-performance systems and potable water immersion, announced the launch of the Indurlux 9400 as its newest product.

The Indurlux 9400 is a high-solids, two-component epoxy siloxane. This isocyanate-free, high-gloss finish coat offers the corrosion-protective properties of an epoxy along with the color and gloss retention of a polyurethane, according to company officials.

Ahead of the Curve

“We have been working on this new product for an extended period of time in an effort to produce the best product and to stay competitive and ahead of the curve,” said Davies Hood, president of Induron Protective Coatings.

“This innovative product should help our customers reduce the number of exterior coats in some cases and produce isocyanate-free finish coats for industrial finishes in others.”

Indurlux 9400 is compliant with the U.S. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) system and is available in a virtually unlimited color range. It is used as a finish coat on properly prepared interior or exterior surfaces.

Diverse End Uses

The epoxy siloxane product is especially designed for use where long-term gloss and color retention are required, such as structural steel amusement parks, railcars and locomotives, water storage tanks, or oilfield service land drilling rigs.

Founded in 1947 and headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, Induron manufactures high-performance coatings that serve a range of industrial applications. These applications include the wastewater, electrical transmission and distribution, and potable water storage, treatment, and transmission sectors.
