Monti-Werkzeuge GmbH announced that its North American subsidiary, MontiPower Americas Inc., has entered into a joint venture agreement with longtime distributor Tecnofink LTDA to market and sell Monti’s products in Brazil.

Monti is best known as the innovator and manufacturer of unique surface preparation technologies, including the patented Bristle Blaster.

Stronger Platform

“Brazil is an incredibly interesting market for us across several key industry segments, and we are very pleased to be able to combine forces with Tecnofink to serve these growing markets,” said J.F. (Frits) Doddema, Monti Group CEO. “Tecnofink is an experienced industry leader in the coatings industry in Brazil, and this combination under the Monti brand will give us a stronger and more focused platform for our surface preparation technologies.”

The new venture, which will be called MontiPower Brasil, will join forces to market the company’s entire range of surface preparation products and services. Dirk Pohlmann will move from Tecnofink to MontiPower Brasil to take over the role of general manager for the new venture. MontiPower Brasil will be based in Macae, with regionally based sales engineers.
