The Associated General Contractors of America announced that the Trump administration released new guidance that now allows firms with 500 or fewer employees to qualify for the new Paycheck Protection Program Loans. Association officials noted that the administration released the new guidance after the association raised concerns over the weekend that many firms that employ 500 or fewer employees appeared to be excluded from the program.

In response, office manager Victoria Nixon suggested making some in-house for Epoxytec’s own internal office use. As a supplier of coatings and linings for critical infrastructure, Epoxytec’s headquarters is equipped with an research and development (R&D) lab and has two polymer chemists on staff.

U.S. Departmemt of the Treasury, IRS and the U.S. Department of Labor Announce Plan to Implement CoronaViris-Related Paid Leave for Workers and Tax Credits for Small and Midsize Businesses

The U.S. Treasury Department, Internal Revenue Service and the U.S. Department of Labor announced that small and midsize employers can begin taking advantage of two new refundable payroll tax credits, designed to immediately and fully reimburse them, dollar-for-dollar, for the cost of providing Coronavirus-related leave to their employees. This relief to employees and small and midsize businesses is provided under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, signed by President Trump on March 18, 2020.
