Mascoat Introduces New High Reflectivity Coating
Mascoat introduced its new highly reflective coating, Mascoat Industrial-HR. The product was specifically formulated with additional highly reflective particles to help further its ability to reflect UV rays.
Mascoat Industrial-HR is not a reflective rooftop coating designed for the residential or commercial markets. It is specially formulated to withstand the rigors of an industrial environment while thermally insulating and reflecting powerful UV rays. This premium, multi-use product is a microscopic matrix of air-encapsulated ceramic particles, which are suspended in a high-grade acrylic binder with highly reflective ingredients to reflect UV rays. The coating’s high-tech formulation is designed to be spray-applied, improving equipment aesthetics while protecting substrates, safeguarding contents and preventing corrosion.
Many clients have achieved great success with the new coating on different types of applications, including gasoline storage tanks, potable water lines, and chilled water tanks, among others.
Gasoline storage tanks, in particular, need to be insulated against radiant heat gain to maintain product levels and integrity. By using Mascoat Industrial-HR, companies can save money on lost product and reduce harmful emissions.
Since the release of the product, there has been a surge in demand for the product in areas that deal with relentless sun exposure, mainly in desert and other arid climates.
