CPI Continues Professional Development Program at Polyurethanes 2010  Technical Conference in Partnership with Utech North America

The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) of the American Chemistry Council will again sponsor the Polyurethane Professional Development Program (PDP) during the Polyurethanes 2010 Technical Conference, in partnership with UTECH North America exhibition, organized by Crain Communications Ltd. The event will take place on October 11 – 13, 2010 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.

For the seventh year in a row, the Professional Development Program will provide a robust education and training program for college students, teachers, industry newcomers, longtime experts and polyurethane end-users.  Beginning on October 10, the Sunday before official conference opening, CPI will offer attendees seven different PDP courses over the span of three days.  Courses range from introductory to advanced levels on topics such as markets and applications, processing equipment, polyurethane chemistry and raw materials analysis.

“Our Professional Development Program continues to be one of the most popular aspects of the conference as it provides a wealth of both technical and business knowledge to the industry,” says Neeva-Gayle Candelori, director of CPI. “Whatever their level of expertise, both new and seasoned professionals will find something of value from the full range of courses we offer.  Attendees appreciate that they can come to the conference and increase their professional understanding with PDP courses, in addition to learning about the latest technologies and innovations in the technical sessions.”

Fees for the courses range from $600 - $750 for one day of courses, to $850 -$1050 for all three days of PDP courses if registered by August 13, 2010. To ensure course availability, participants are urged to register by September 1, 2010.  PDP registration fees also allow participants in the PDP program to attend technical, issue, or poster sessions at the conference on the days of their courses.  A discount is offered for member companies of the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry.

The Polyurethanes 2010 Technical Conference will spotlight 16 technical sessions, including tracks on sustainability and energy critical foams, as well as a special panel discussion on spray polyurethane foam and an opening panel on retail sustainability.  To register, please visit www.americanchemistry.com/polyurethane.
