Huntley, Illinois Crown Polymers executive William "Bill" Dimmick, one of the Polymer Industry's most
well-liked and respected individuals passed away unexpectedly on Thursday July 15, 2010 at his home
in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
His wife Deborah, daughters Brynna and Tori, his parents Patricia and Floyd, Sisters April and Lori and
Brothers Floyd Jr. and John, survive Mr. Dimmick, 47.
Dimmick, Co-founder of Crown Polymers, was nationally and internationally known as a highly skilled
executive and innovator having introduced countless new application methods and polymer formulations,
many of which have become standards within the industry.
According to company spokesman, Dr. Vinicio Tresin, "Bill's in-depth understanding of polymer
technology, the marketplace and the practical needs of customers, enabled him to produce results that
few others have equaled."
"Bill's approach was as ingenious as it was straight-forward". Dr. Tresin goes on, "In addition to his
technical skill and business acumen, Bill was generous. He was bright, articulate and always willing to
share his substantial body of knowledge with others. Those of us at Crown Polymers, our customers and
everyone associated with our company will reap the benefits of Bill Dimmick's contribution for many
years to come”.
