NACE International Institute Names Dave Evans as Chief Staff Auditor for Global Contractor Accreditation Program

NACE International Institute (NII) is pleased to announce Dave Evans has been hired as a Chief Auditor on staff for the NACE International Institute Contractor Accreditation Program (NIICAP). Evans brings decades of experience working in the industrial coatings field where he specializes in coating recommendations, specification development, failure analysis, facility audits, and training. He is president of Evans Industrial Coating Consultants, LLC, has served as a chief auditor for NIICAP on a consulting basis, and has been a NACE CIP Instructor for 33 years.

“Dave brings outstanding knowledge of the protective coatings and corrosion industry, and in-depth experience and knowledge of quality assurance and control processes in the field of industrial coatings,” said Helena Seelinger, Executive Director of NACE International Institute. “He is the ideal candidate for this position, and we are thrilled to have him on the NIICAP team.”

NIICAP is an industry-driven and industry-managed accreditation program that validates a contractor's quality assurance program, support practices, and production processes. The NIICAP process is a robust, transparent customer-focused accreditation program that endorses only coating contractors who have demonstrated superior capabilities and competencies necessary to meet owner requirements.

In his role as staff chief auditor Evans will provide technical support for NII’s accreditation program through program reviews and on-site auditing of the operations of coatings contractors that have applied for NIICAP accreditation.  He will support asset owners seeking qualified contractors and provide his technical expertise and support to other coating industry programs in NACE International and the Institute.

“As an active member of NACE International and an instructor for many years it is an honor to take on this role in support of a field and industry I am passionate about,” said Evans. “I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues to continue to build the NIICAP program and elevate the quality of coatings contractors worldwide.”
