The Society for Protective Coatings’ (SSPC) Coatings+ 2020 show takes place from Monday, Feb. 3 through Thursday, Feb. 6 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California.
With more than 2,500 coatings professionals expected to attend, the SSPC's annual conference and trade show is described as a premiere platform for the coatings workforce to engage with each other, advance the industry and advance their careers. Protective coatings professionals including facility owners, specifiers, manufacturers, contractors, engineers, consultants, and inspectors come together during the week to network, train, and learn the latest in industry standards.
Coatings + is comprised of protective, marine, and industrial coatings programming with technical sessions and workshops focused on surface preparation, application, coating formulation, testing, inspection, and green coatings solutions. SSPC training and certification programs are offered in conjunction with the event, which also features SSPC standards committee meetings.
Furthermore, Coatings+ offers a 100,000 ft2 (9,290.3 m2) trade show, featuring more than 150 exhibitors. According to event organizers, attendance at Coatings+ has steadily increased by at least 5 percent every year. They note that over 20 percent of event attendees are first-timers, along with more than 30 first-time exhibiting companies at the trade show each year.
