Icynene-Lapolla Introduces Low-Pressure SPF

Building envelope solutions provider Icynene-Lapolla has launched a new low-pressure, low-density, two-component spray polyurethane foam (SPF).

The new spray foam product is available in two sizes named OC-450 and OC-1350, with each referring to the maximum amount of board feet the material will cover.

Ideal for Smaller Jobs

Both size options provide a compact and convenient size for contractors looking to complete touchups on the jobsite, according to the company.

The product is designed to offer contractors a seamless transition from large to small jobs, with the foam ideally suited for filling and sealing various sized voids and surfaces, deadening sound, and reducing vibrations.

It can be applied to clean, dry substrates including wood, masonry, metal, and drywall, where the material’s strong adhesion properties work to create an air barrier. In turn, the barrier results in improved indoor air quality and reduced heating and cooling costs.

GREENGUARD Certification

The product, which holds a UL GREENGUARD Gold Certification, provides an aged R Value of 4.3 when applied at 1-inch (2.5 cm) thickness.

“OC-450 and OC-1350 is a best-in-class system for low-pressure spray foam applications and meets numerous building code standards and certifications,” said Doug Kramer, president and CEO of Icynene-Lapolla.

The low-pressure spray foam can also be utilized in crawlspace applications when certain qualifying conditions are met. The new product, in both quantity variations, can be sourced through Icynene-Lapolla’s distribution partners and through direct orders through the company’s customer service team.
