Specialty Coatings Firm Promotes Three to Senior Staff

RPM International Inc., global leader in specialty coatings, sealants, building materials, and other related services, announced a trio of promotions to its senior level staff.

According to Frank C. Sullivan, chairman and CEO of the company, the moves are “part of an organizational realignment that will support our operating improvement initiatives.”

Three New Promotions

As part of this reorganization effort, the following promotions have been made: Lonny DiRusso is now the company’s vice president and chief information officer; Matthew Franklin its new vice president – information technology; and Gordon Hyde has been moved to the role of vice president – operations.

DiRusso, Franklin, and Hyde are all longstanding employees of RPM who the company hopes will pay dividends in their new roles, according to group officials.

“We look forward to seeing their respective expertise put to work for RPM on a larger scale as they unlock value in our operations and IT [information technology], and drive greater collaboration between our companies worldwide,” Sullivan said.

Descriptions of the Roles

As vice president and chief information officer, DiRusso will be charged with aligning the corporate-wide IT program with the company’s overall strategic vision.

Meanwhile, Franklin’s new role as vice president – information technology will have him handling daily IT support at the company’s corporate headquarters, providing oversight of the company’s IT initiatives, and managing its information security program.

Finally, Hyde’s new role as vice president – operations will see him leading the company’s manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement improvement initiatives alongside Timothy Kinser, who was recently appointed as vice president – operations at RPM.
