Klein Tools, Inc. and Tenacious Holdings, Inc. announced today that Klein Tools has acquired Ergodyne. Tenacious Holdings, Inc. is Ergodyne’s parent company.

Ergodyne will be operated as a separate business unit in St. Paul, Minnesota, at its current headquarters. Tom Votel will remain president and continue to lead the Ergodyne team.

Company Histories

Founded in 1857, Klein Tools is a sixth-generation, family owned company. For over 161 years, the company has remained dedicated to manufacturing professional grade hand tools and related equipment for tradespeople worldwide.

The majority of Klein tools are manufactured in plants located throughout the United States.

Ergodyne, founded in 1983, has spent the last three decades pioneering the development of products to make workplaces safer. What started with one product has since grown into a line of products, known under the Tenacious Work Gear brand.
