ReBuild USA Launches California Digital Ad Campaign, Criticizes Heritage Foundation for Trying to Kill Infrastructure Package

ReBuild USA — a national nonpartisan organization — has launched a digital advertising campaign in California urging Congress to reject the attempts of special-interest groups, like the D.C.-based Heritage Foundation, that are trying to kill bipartisan efforts to fix America’s roads, bridges and infrastructure.

The Heritage Foundation falsely and recklessly claims that just because bridges are “structurally deficient doesn’t mean they are unsafe.”

In contrast, the American Society of Civil Engineers gave the United States a dangerous D+ grade for the collective state of our infrastructure— highlighting the poor condition of our roads, bridges, energy systems, and waterways.

"Californians deserve more than special interests like the Heritage Foundation providing cover to DC politicians who don’t want to pass a bipartisan infrastructure package,” said Lori D’Orazio of ReBuild USA. "American families are at risk everyday from the crumbling roads, unsafe drinking water, insufficient energy grid, and structurally deficient bridges that plague our nation and threaten our safety. Our six-figure digital campaign targets voters in 11 states in order to apply pressure on Congress to do what 80% of Americans want, which is to fix our country’s infrastructure, rather than following the lead of out-of-touch DC special interests.”

ReBuild USA is a nonpartisan project that advocates for infrastructure improvements at the national, state, and local levels and is supported by North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU).
