RCI, Inc. is an international nonprofit association of building envelope professionals who specialize in roofing, waterproofing, and exterior wall specification and design. From sprayed polyurethane foam to cedar shakes, from parking garages to air barriers, RCI has a member expert for every type of roof, exterior wall, or waterproofing issue in the world today.
RCI’s premier annual event concluded on Tuesday, March 27 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, featuring more than 25 hours of educational seminars, live product demonstrations, and a two‐day trade show with more than 130 exhibitors. RCI recorded a final attendance number of 1,644, which broke the prior record of 1,512 to make it the group’s most attended show yet.
Educational sessions of note included topics such as assessing concrete moisture in unconditioned environments; knowing building code requirements; roofing assemblies’ interface with decks; roof drainage design strategies; and climate change adaptation technologies for the roofing industry.

Future RCI Events
Fresh off this year’s success, RCI’s 34th International Convention and Trade Show is slated for March 14-19, 2019, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Other association events include its inaugural Canadian Building Envelope Technology Symposium, to be held from September 13-14, 2018, in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Also in the fall, the RCI Building Envelope Symposium will be held from November 16-17, 2018, in Nashville, Tennessee.
