Construction Financial Management Donates to Members Affected by Hurricanes Harvey & Irma

For those Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) members calling Texas and Florida home, CFMA has recently donated more than $20,000 in the wake of the effects of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

CFMA members, now more than 8,100 strong, have a tradition of helping each other in times of need. The aftermath of flooding in Louisiana in 2016 brought about a groundswell of support and the events of 2017 have seen a similar response.

With more than $15,000 raised through contributions from CFMA members, chapters, and Regional Conference attendees, along with $5,000 from CFMA’s Chairman’s Fund, CFMA has been able to provide monies to replace clothes, appliances, and furniture and begin reconstruction work.

“You can’t really put a price tag on what it costs to replace a home but we wanted to try to show our support in some way. The generosity and graciousness of our members runs deep and we just hope this effort will begin to ease these tremendous burdens,” notes CFMA President & CEO, Stuart Binstock.
