Bipacco Coatings Joins Forces with Protex Pintura to Green the Hemisphere

Anthony J. Brady. President of Bipacco Coatings, Cuba, Missouri , USA and Eduardo Baquerizo, President of Protex Pintura, Guayaquil, Ecuador, have announced a licensing agreement for the Ecuadorian industrial paint and coatings company to produce Bipacco Coatings’ full line of industrial paints and coatings for the South American trade, after a recent meeting Protex’s production plant. Their stock in trade is industrial paints and coatings. “When I met Eduardo some years back, I could see our companies had a lot in common,” Brady said. “It’s wonderful to further fulfill our mission by working with the fine people at Protex.”

Bipacco brands, which will be produced and distributed in Central and South America, include Soyathane®, Captain’s Choice®, Eco-Tred®, Shuethane®, and Engineer’s Choice®.  Bipacco Coatings is serious about its efforts to be “mean and green” for the 21st Century. Brady’s own experiences as an applicator of high VOC paints and coatings, and his subsequent health issues, led him to become an innovator in low to no VOC industrial protectants such as BioPreferred® Soyathane, with almost all of its ingredients coming from soybeans.

Brady stressed that this is a product distribution expansion, not an abandonment of his sourced in the USA, and American made products.

“We’re committed to manufacturing quality goods in hard-working rural America,” he said.  “Eduardo has his own hard working crew in Ecuador, including Xavier Negrete, his lab director, and Johanna Piguave in customer service. We truly believe that this licensing expansion of our products will bring excellent quality and product performance to another part of the world, as well as providing them with tough, user friendly coatings safe for the environment and applicators.”

Bipacco Coatings will be represented at the Inland Marine Expo, May 22-24, The Dome of America’s Center, St. Louis, Missouri.
