Industrial coatings specifications often require inspection equipment to have current certificates of calibration, and it is common practice for instruments to be recalibrated or serviced within one year of purchase. But it can be a huge burden for an instrument owner to manage multiple certifications and service demands.  With that in mind, KTA-Tator, Inc (KTA) is pleased to offer a Free program to help manage this responsibility.  Vice President and Instrument Sales Manager of KTA, Matthew Fajt, says, “We understand how tedious it is for inspectors, industrial painters, manufacturers, and facility owners to track the status of their inspection equipment, so we’re taking on that burden for them.  Whether the equipment inventory consists of one gage or 1,000, we are assisting our customers in handling this important task.” 

How is this done?  Customers’ equipment is automatically logged into the KTA Asset Management system upon sale.  A bar code is attached to each piece of equipment, containing a unique tracking number. Two months before the equipment is due for servicing, KTA notifies the owner of the upcoming needs, via letter, email or phone call.  “We are averaging a 50% return rate from our customers shortly after receiving the notification letter. The reminder system has been well received by our customers and they appreciate the ease of the process, and the rapid return of their instruments after servicing,” says Fajt.

To enroll in this program, you do not need to have purchased your equipment through KTA. Fajt states, “It’s important to note that we work with any individual or company to update their equipment list and perform their annual servicing needs. We manage equipment assets for many customers who originally purchased through other vendors.”
