Jetstream of Houston, LLP, a manufacturer of industrial high-pressure water-blasting equipment, parts, and accessories, has added new features to the Jetstream RotoMag X22 2D, a self-powered rotary pipe cleaning nozzle for vessel cleaning and pipe cleaning applications.

In production for several years, the nozzle features a stainless steel (SS) body and rotor, as well as a body shroud to protect the nozzle while cleaning.

“The durable, versatile, and reliable Jetstream RotoMag X22 nozzle has been a long-time favorite of our industrial cleaning customers,” said Lena Stoots, product manager at Jetstream. “We are committed to continuous improvements to our signature tools to meet the highest levels of performance.”

How the Nozzle Works

Available as a single tool rated up to 22,000 psi (151.7 MPa), the RotoMag X22 features a magnetic braking system that controls rotational speed for minimal wear and maximum impact without streaking.

Spinning on a film of high-pressure water, the nozzle has no ball bearings to replace, making field service simple. The premium kit is available with all repair components in a convenient, watertight case.

“An operator can perform maintenance in five minutes while in the field,” Stoots said.

Complimentary Accessories

Nozzle extensions come in three sizes to enable more effective cleaning in larger pipes, according to the company. For large pipe applications, several different style centralizers are available, including pipes with and without bends.

Meanwhile, the Jetstream back-out preventer stops the tool from retracting out of the pipe unexpectedly or in the event of a sudden shift in thrust.

Jetstream parts, accessories, and rentals are available through FS Solutions’ 12 locations in the United States, and through Joe Johnson Equipment’s (JJE) eight locations in Canada.
