Polyurethanes Technical Conference Returns to Baltimore

The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry’s (CPI) annual Polyurethanes Technical Conference, the longest-running polyurethanes conference in North America, offers a unique convergence of industry expertise, professional networking, and regulatory insight.

The CPI is a division of the American Chemistry Council (ACC).

Fostering both technical and professional development, the event aims to help attendees preview the polyurethanes technologies of the future, as well as review key information relevant for the present.

The 59th annual Polyurethanes Technical Conference returns to Baltimore, Maryland, from Monday, September 26, to Wednesday, September 28. In all, the CPI expects nearly 1,000 attendees at the event, representing leading polyurethanes companies and innovators.

Professional Development Program

CPI’s Professional Development Program (PDP), which has been going strong for over a decade, consists of educational and training courses that provide opportunities for participants to increase their knowledge of the polyurethane industry.

The PDP provides learning opportunities for both industry newcomers and veterans. Through the program, CPI said it strives to provide opportunities to keep industry professionals on top of the latest standards, trends, and developments.

Technical Events, Exhibits

Session tracks include Construction and Sustainability. Courses offered in 2016 range from broad, introductory subjects to advanced, specialized topics, such as Introduction to Polyurethane Industry, Polyurethane Coatings and Elastomers (with new content), and Physical Testing of Polyurethane Foams.

In addition to the technical sessions, CPI will present its annual Polyurethane Innovation Award to highlight the role that innovation plays in the polyurethane industry and to recognize companies and individuals who bring new products, technologies, and initiatives to market.

The conference will also include tabletop exhibitors. For more information, contact: CPI, (202) 249-6121, polyurethane.americanchemistry.com.
