that we have added Jim Foust and Tim Ellis to our team. Both are esteemed and
accomplished professionals and recognized subject matter experts in the machine
tool industry,” says Harold Schoch, Vice President Technical Services, Region

Service.
Foust brings over 35 years of
experience to the sales team. He previously worked at VMC Technologies, Inc. in
Troy, Michigan, where he served as product manager for their large CNC machine
tool applications for 11 years. He also served as Vice President - Sales at J.
Lee Hackett Company in Farmington, Michigan for 21 years. During his entire
35-year tenure in the machine tool business he has represented the Giddings
& Lewis Machine Tool organization and its products.

says Schoch.
Tim Ellis has over 45 years
of experience in the machine tool industry, and 38 of those years were with
Giddings & Lewis. He joins the Konecranes Machine Tool Service team as a
technical sales consultant. Previously, Ellis worked with Fives Giddings &
Lewis, where he served as service manager and manager of remanufacturing sales
for many years.
Ellis also served as executive project
manager/resident field engineer in the Boston area for Giddings & Lewis
Machine Tool Co. for more than a dozen years prior to accepting a sales
management position at the company’s headquarters in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin in
1990.

says Schoch.
Ellis also served as
executive project manager/resident field engineer in the Boston area for
Giddings & Lewis Machine Tool Co. for more than a dozen years prior to
accepting a sales management position at the company’s headquarters in Fond du
Lac, Wisconsin in 1990.

knowledge will help us provide optimum technical solutions to customers who
need help servicing, rebuilding and remanufacturing their Giddings & Lewis
equipment,” says Schoch.
According to Schoch, Giddings
& Lewis horizontal boring mills are used in every imaginable industry, from
general manufacturing to mining, energy and heavy equipment. Older machines
with their seasoned, cured cast iron are esteemed for their superior dampening
characteristics and dynamic stiffness.
“We’re already doing more CNC
control retrofits and mechanical rebuilds of Giddings & Lewis machines than
