	Go Green, Make Green: More Efficient Green Rooftop Installation Methods Mean More Profit Many cities are encouraging the installation of green roofs, an aesthetically appealing, more energy efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to tar, gravel ballast, shingles or tiles. Some green rooftop contractors have been utilizing new equipment that blows away traditional installation methods, literally.
	Trenchless Structural Spray Helps PennDOT Turn Nightmare Into Dream The pipes depth was 20 feet below ground, replacing them would mean significant surface disruption through excavation. It would mean digging a 10-foot-by-20-foot trench on each site to allow for required upsizing of the pipes to box culverts. This would have been necessary to bring the circa 1945 pipes up to modern code standards for water conveyance structures.
	A Tale of Two Manholes Four new manholes were to be part of a newly rehabilitated 72-inch diameter interceptor line. The refurbished interceptor was ready to go online until inspectors discovered that the manhole structures were improperly constructed and cracking due to a design oversight and the extremely high water table in the surrounding area.
